Dating back to the 15th Century and located in the heart of Margaux this estate was originally one of the largest in Bordeaux, parcels of land were sold off to become the Chateaux of Rauzan-Segla, Rauzan-Gassies and Desmirail. Marquis de Terme was awarded 4th Grand Cru in the 1855 classification and its 40 hectares under vines are planted with 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot & 5%Petit Verdot, since 2013 certified organic. The wines are known for their elegant, aromatic, and complex nature and represent excellent value. Younger vintages can be enjoyed with 1 to 2 hours of decanting, but the wines show best between 10 and 15 years of aging. |

Starting out as Chateau Lagraviere in the 1700’s, the Malartic was added in 1850 to honor the family’s son Comte Anne-Joseph-Hippolyte Maures de Malartic, a French Navy Admiral. It was Awarded the Pessac Leognan’s Cru Classé classification in 1959, in 1997 it was purchased by the Bonnie Family, who spent close to $20M to completely renovate the estate and update the winery, all of which massively increased the quality of the wines. Produced from 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 8% cabernet Franc & 2% Petit Verdot, the wines are rich and full with soft tannins, complex and beautifully aromatic. Drinking wonderfully after 8 years but continue mature over 2 decades. |
