This 3rd Grand Cru Classe property based in the heart of Margaux was established in 1710 when Sir John Collingwood purchased the estate, when his daughter married Mark Kirwan, they took over and hence the name. In 1902 the property being in the ownership of the town of Bordeaux had the negociants Schroder & Schyler running the property, it was sold to them in 1925, and they are still the owners today. The wines are produced from 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot,15% cabernet Franc & 10% Petit Verdot coming from vines up to 65 years old. The wines are rich and elegant, packed with plum fruit and cassis, typical of Margaux and drink well after around 6 years but, have over 2 decades of aging potential.

Located on Saint-Émilion’s famous limestone plateau, this property takes its name from the 8th Century when the land was occupied by Moorish invaders and locally known as Ville Maure or City of the Moors. The 16th Century estate of Château de Fieuzal, was awarded Grand Cru Classé Status for both its white and red wines in the 1959 Classification. Under the ownership of Brenda and Lochlann Quinn since 2001, they invested heavily in modern wine making facilities, at the same time giving full respect traditional practices.
